Henderson Island to Wabash Island
We weighed anchor at Henderson Island at high noon. Our departure was delayed only because a thorough engine check was called for due to the impeller mishap the day before. Even though the main channel was to the northwest of Towhead Island we took the cut between it and Slim Island, just for grins :-) This also put us a little past our half-way point to Wabash Island where we had plans to anchor for the night. Once at Wabash we rounded the tip too tight and bumped bottom. A little reverse pulled us off and we tried again with success about mid-channel.
After having a tuna and cabbage cassarol for dinner we took a swim to try out our new ladder. Then we chilled for the evening watching “African Queen” from our lame collection of five DVDs that we brought with us.
