Mosquito Creek to Derby, Indiana
We passed more barge traffic than usual around the bends… Horseshoe Bend, Oxbow Bend, Little Bend… possibly held back at Cannelton Locks which is under repair. While on route we calibrated the speed sensor and crossed the river from bank-to-bank to overtake a downriver tow. As we traveled the bends around Leavenworth we found ourselves going out of EDT and in to CDT, and then back out and back in again of the time zone changes. Since anchoring was such a challenge the night before we decided to take it easy and stayed at the Derby Landing free dock.
