­We departed Limestone Bay Yacht Club to meet with the Louisville Sail and Power Squadron (now known as America’s Boating Club) at Towhead Island for a lock-thru briefing. The boats gathered off the banks and locked down as a flotilla. Once everyone was safely organized and having caught their breath we anchored for lunch below the dam at the Falls of Ohio State Park to relax before our return trip back up river.
