We had made contact with some of the local surveyors around Portsmouth before making the trip from Kentucky so follow-ups were easily in order, although availability was hard to find. Fortunately one surveyor had an opening in late morning after he wrapped up a survey related to an insurance claim.

This would make for our third survey within the last year, the previous two having failed miserably (obviously, or we wouldn’t be here today). This survey was particularly stressful since the boat appeared to be in fine shape….. but we’ve been down that road before finding out what lurks behind the decks, engine compartment, and all else mechanical and electrical.

Would we be next to update the owners plaque with our names?
